Welcome
to Air Combat Australia
At Air
Combat Australia, You get the chance to ride as a crew member
in no less than four different types of fighter aircraft.
They include the CT6 Airtrainer, the Yak-52 52 Russian Advanced
Trainer, the TS-11 Iskra Fighter Jet, and the world famous
transonic MiG-15 front line Jet Fighter. Regardless of which
flight you decide upon, whether it be our Combat Flight or
our Air to Ground Bombing Mission, you will get to fully appreciate
the heart pounding exhilaration that only the worlds best
fighter pilots experience during combat operations.
The MiG-15
Jet Fighter allows you to get the perspective of an in-flight
Tomahawk Cruise Missile - but faster - as your highly experienced
pilot puts you through a series high-G, gut wrenching and
adrenalin pumping air combat manoeuvres.
Unlike
the training jets offered by other organisations, the MiG-15
is a true transonic fighter. There is no privately owned fighter
aircraft in Australia today that can fly faster, higher, or
with as much maouverability as the Mig 15. The MiG-15 flys
at up to the speed of sound, approximately 1,200 Km/h (330
meters per second).... is that fast enough for you?
Our TS-11
Iskra is capable of approximately 800 Km/h and is in the same
class as the Strikemaster or Dragonfly jet fighter trainers.
Our Yak
52 type is an advanced fighter trainer that was developed
by the famous Russian Yakovlev Design Bureau. This aircraft
is reaches around 480 Km/h but "there aint much that
can manouver with a Yak-52". The aircraft proved itself
during active service in the Russo/Afgani war of the 1980s
and is a very popular aerobatics aircraft.
Last but
by no means least are our CT6/24 Airtrainer. These are the
basic trainer aircraft that are used to teach trainee fighter
pilots the necessary tactical aerial combat manouvers and
skills. There isn't much the CT6 couldn't teach a prospective
fighter pilot and is capable of approximately 400 Km/h.
